On August 9, 2023 I was painting a new work and started using colors that I wouldn't normally use.  Suddenly realizing, I had been keeping up with the news about the fires on Maui it became clear why I had chose the new color combination. This painting is in honor of all the brave poeple who will be faced with making a new live and rebuilding Lahina.  
This 12"x12"x11/2" Painting is cold wax and oil on birch caddle board canvas. The sides of the canvas are finished and it is ready to hang.
